The Yellow River Scenic Area is in the northwest of Zhengzhou. It’s about 20  kilometers away from the city. And it shows the wonderful scenery. There are over 40 scenic spots (景点). It covers an area of more than 20 square kilometers.
The Longmen Grottoes (石窟) in Luoyang is about 13 kilometers south of  Luoyang. The carving (雕刻) began in 493, the Northern Wei Dynasty (386~534). Most of the carvings were built in the Tang Dynasty. The building work ended in the Qing Dynasty. After over 1,000 years, there are over 2,300 caves and 100,000 statues left there.
The Henan Museum is in Zhengzhou. It is one of the largest museums in China.  The building style is grand and special. It has over 170,000 cultural relics (文物).
The history of planting chrysanthemums (菊花) in Kaifeng started over 1,500  years ago. Now the Chrysanthemum Culture Festival is held every year. It lasts a month, from October to November. Tourists can taste delicious food while enjoying chrysanthemums. It is really a good treat for both your eyes and your stomach.
